KFC' s Crispy and Crunchy Potato Chip Fried Chicken Meal review

KFC Hong Kong has been promoting this meal for quite some time, so a few days ago, I finally had a chance to give this a try. The idea behind this is sticking pieces of potato chips onto the fried chicken and making it super crispy (thus, Crispy Potato Chip fried Chicken).

what is included:

• 2 pieces of fried chicken (drumstick + thigh)
• a box of hot shots (small pieces of spicy chicken bits) 
• regular sized mashed potato and gravy
• a medium sized soft drink

• very spicy
• very hot (temperature wise)
• not crispy...

• reasonable size of mashed potato
• served very warm
• fairly tasty

Impressions:

• very spicy
• very hot
• crispy (but not as crispy as I thought)
• hardly flavorful... not marinated at all (missing spices, salt, etc)

I was shocked at the level of spiciness these pieces of fried chicken were... there was no indication ANYWHERE that they were going to be THAT spicy (or even spicy at all). Please keep in mind if you are ordering.

Overall, this was quite a disappointing meal... I would expect their Fried chicken to be MUCH better... but it was a total disappointment... the sides were of ok quality and the quantity was fair... but the chicken was a total disappointment. I was also disappointed that they did not warn us ahead of time that these fried chicken pieces were so hot and spicy.
