Biodance Bio-Collagen - Real Deep Mask review

I Finally Tried the Viral Biodance Bio-Collagen Real Deep Mask!

I know I’m super late to the game, but I finally got my hands on the super viral Korean facial mask—and I just had to share my thoughts.

In case you need a refresher, this is the mask that went viral for turning transparent the longer you wear it. You’re supposed to keep it on for 3–4 hours—or even overnight! Unlike most sheet masks that go viral for their ingredients, this one took off because of its unique experience.

But beyond the novelty, I was curious: does it actually do anything? Here’s my experience.

πŸ§–‍♀️ What It Claims to Do

The Biodance Bio-Collagen Real Deep Mask is a hydrogel mask packed with serious skincare benefits:

  • Ultra-Low Molecular Collagen for deep firming and enhanced elasticity
  • Oligo-Hyaluronic Acid for long-lasting hydration that penetrates deeper than regular hyaluronic acid
  • Probiotics (Galactomyces Ferment Filtrate) to reduce fine lines and strengthen the skin barrier
  • Niacinamide to brighten and refine texture
  • Fragrance-Free & Hypoallergenic – perfect for sensitive skin

You can use it two ways:

  • Overnight – apply it at the end of your routine and sleep with it on (only if you can sleep on your back!)
  • Daytime – apply after toner or serum and wear for 3–4 hours until the mask turns transparent

Pro tip: Repurpose the cut-out pieces from the eyes and mouth—apply them to your neck or under-eye area for bonus hydration!

after 2.5 hours

I tried to smile but couldn't... the mask got really tight. You can also see how bits of it were stretched so much that they ripped a bit.

πŸ’ My First Impressions

  • It ripped almost immediately when I was taking it out of the packaging—so handle with care!
  • Unscented, which I appreciate
  • It stings a bit on broken skin, but that sensation fades quickly—and those areas actually felt more hydrated after
  • You can literally see where your skin is dehydrated: those areas turn transparent first (for me, it was around my nose and mouth)
  • Despite some reviews, I didn’t find it uncomfortable—I actually fell asleep during the first 2 hours of wearing it!
  • Don’t use your phone while wearing this—it can slide around with movement or blinking, and if your phone slips… well, it’s not a fun wake-up call
  • Strengthening Skin: One thing I noticed that really surprised me was how strong and resilient my skin felt after just one use — it felt like my skin barrier had been reinforced, especially in areas that normally feel a bit raw or fragile.

other info

πŸ› Best Way to Use It

To keep the mask in place, lie flat on your back—especially for the first two hours. I tried sitting and standing, and the mask kept slipping. Sleeping on your side is also a no-go unless you want it to shift or fall off completely.

Some people see transparent blotches within the first hour, but for me, they didn’t appear until about 1 hour and 45 minutes in.

after 3 hours

πŸ€” Final Thoughts

This mask was definitely more than just a gimmick. It gave me:

  • Deep hydration
  • A visible look at my dehydrated areas
  • Firmer, smoother-feeling skin afterward
  • Improves and strengthens the skin barrier
  • Skin feels good after using

But I did have a couple of frustrations:

❌ Cons:

  • Tears very easily, both during application and while wearing
  • Can really only be used while lying down (preferably flat on your back)

That being said, one of my biggest frustrations with facial masks like these is how short their product life cycles are. Just when I get attached to a formula and start incorporating it into my routine, it gets discontinued. It’s not because the product isn’t good—often, it’s because companies quickly move on to the next trend or formula, especially in the fast-paced K-beauty world. I’ve never fully understood why this happens, but it makes it hard to stick with what works.

All in all, I can see why this mask went viral—and while it’s not perfect, I’d consider using it again (with very gentle hands!). Would I sleep in it regularly? Probably not, unless I’m totally exhausted and planning to stay in one position all night πŸ˜…

What the discarded mask looks like... soft plastic material

πŸŒ™ Post-Mask Results & Final Thoughts

While the effects weren’t as dramatic as some influencers hyped them up to be, I still genuinely enjoyed using this mask. What stood out to me was how much stronger and more resilient my skin felt after one use — as if my barrier had gotten a little boost. After removing it, my skin felt noticeably hydrated, smooth, and calm—especially in sensitive or dry patches. The glow wasn’t just temporary either; the results lasted well into the next day, which pleasantly surprised me.

That said, this is definitely on the luxury side of sheet masks. At around $100 for 24 masks, it’s significantly pricier than many drugstore options that go for $1–2 each. But if you’re looking for a unique masking experience with visible hydration and skin-calming benefits—and don’t mind lying completely still—this might be worth trying.

Would I repurchase? Yes — despite the price, the results were worth it for me. My skin felt moisturized, soothed, and noticeably smoother. The calming and hydrating effects lasted well into the next day, and my skin genuinely looked healthier.

In fact, I find myself craving to use this mask again and again because of how good my skin feels afterward. It’s become something I look forward to in my routine — though I try to limit myself, or I might just end up using it daily!

Paula's Choice Hydrating Treatment Mask review

I came across this "mask" while I was on their website to refill on more of their popular leave-on exfoliant

My skin has been quite dry lately and since I am very impressed with their exfoliate I decided to give this mask a try. I haven't heard of it prior and there seems to be no mention of this product from other skincare specialists.

This is a hydrating treatment mask that contains Borage oil. According to stylist.co.uk, "Borage oil treats all kinds of skin inflammation including eczema, dermatitis, psoriasis, and rosacea. It is also good if your skin feels dry as it is calming, nourishing, and redness-erasing prowess. It's also useful in helping calm acne and it's lighter than many other oils so won't leave your face feeling greasy."

This mask claims to hydrate dry, flaky skin, fortifies the protective moisture barrier, and calms and soothes sensitive skin. It is listed under their "Skin Recovery". Paula's Choice also recommends it as a good hand hydrating mask (but I didn't/haven't feel/felt the benefits of it).

Directions

Use on clean skin. Apply a generous layer all over the face and neck. Leave on overnight as your last step in your skincare routine. Use as often as needed.

I have been using this mask (sometimes I use it as a moisturizer and almost every night as a leave-on mask) for almost 4 months and I love it!

Impressions:

  • affordable
  • calming
  • your skin needs to adjust to the texture
  • it hydrates your dry skin!
  • can be used as a moisturizer/eye cream
  • long-lasting (effects last for hours)
  • Use around 1 cm of product for the whole face
  • very thick, leave-on mask but light-weight (skin absorbs every bit of product)
  • no irritation
  • softens skin, soothes skin
  • non-greasy

When I first started using this mask, my skin felt uncomfortable with the thickness and consistency, it took around 2 weeks till my skin was able to adjust and became comfortable with the consistency and properly absorbed the product.

I noticed it would dry out some smaller pimples and acne within 1-2 uses.  I use it as an overnight leave-on mask, and my skin feels very plump and hydrated the next day. There was a tiny wrinkle on my skin (prior to using this mask) and this mask took it out within 2-3 uses!

I have super sensitive skin and this mask/cream did not cause any issues. There was absolutely no irritation, but my skin had to adjust to the thickness of "learning how to absorb it properly".

I am super happy I found this product and it is also one of Paula's Choice's more affordable products.

Annie's Way Mask Gallery Arbutin + Hyaluronic Acid Jelly Mask review

I have heard about this mask for ages and I finally have it in my hands! I know this isn't the newest product out there... but if it is good... it doesn't matter... right?

So for a quick background, this mask made its debut 4 years ago (2014) and every beauty guru was talking about this product. A lot of them claimed how this mask has changed their skin.

Fast forward to 2018, the product is almost nonexistent. Their website no longer works, and everyone has moved onto other products.

I wanted to try this product for a long time, but when I received this product (online shopping) I got busy and forgot about it until now.

ingredients
the instructions are very straightforward: after washing your face and applying moisturizing lotion (Asian kind) add a 0.5cm thickness to the skin. Wait 30 minutes and wipe it off. Put an extra thick layer to your nose. After you are done, wash with water and apply a serum or other masks to make this mask more effective.

pros

  • moisturizes skin

cons

  • need to use a lot of product each time
  • messy (you need to apply 0.5cm thickness of product)
  • uncomfortable, I couldn't wait to remove it

I can see how it quickly came and how it quickly went. While this mask does its job, I found it too much of a hassle to use. You MUST put a 0.5cm thickness of product or the product will dry on your face and reverse suck out the moisture from your skin. It was hard to slab on THAT much product without making a mess. It also felt incredibly uncomfortable on my skin. The thickness of the product caused it to stick to my eyelashes and while it did not have a droopy feeling, my skin did not like the texture after 10 minutes.

There are way better products out on the market which can do what this mask does without the mess and hassle.

When I first heard about V Line masks, I was dying to try one, but to my disadvantage, I couldn't find any online or locally. So when my friend introduced me to Lady Merry and gave me a few masks to try I was extremely excited to try their Heart Line Masks!

My friend told me that the Heart Line Mask is:

A typical youthful, ideal facial shape is said to have a V lined, or even better, heart shaped roundness. Our product is capable of creating such effect on its user, therefore the name ‘Heart Line Mask’.

《Cause of facial sagginess》 Buccal fat, a fat mass that exists on both side of the human cheek. It gets loose as age grows and is the main cause for sagginess in the cheek and jawline. Although there are various reasons that causes the buccal fat to loosen and start sinking, the biggest factor is none other than gravity. It had been a fact that there are demand for cosmetic surgeries to remove buccal fats in order to improve cheek sagginess.

So, apparently, I have a lot of Buccal fat... so this mask will definitely help me make my face shape more "heart" shaped.

[Heart Line Mask] is a product that helps prevent the sagginess due to gravity, and elevates the skin naturally.

How to use:

  1. Thoroughly clean your face with cleansing foam or gel.
  2. With the markings facing down, fit in the center of your jaw to the middle of heart line mask.
  3. Pull over the mask to fit into the hook of your ears.
  4. Keep mask in the position for 15-20 minutes before removal.

*Remove mask slowly and gently to avoid overstretch of your skin.
*Recommended to be used twice a week
*Should you feel any abnormal skin reaction, stop using immediately and consult a dermatologist or your family doctor

I have spoken to a representative at Lady Merry and he told me that I can leave this mask on overnight. Since this mask is "dry" it would not be osmosis (stripping away the moisture in my skin). Instead, it will act as a protective mask to help you retain moisture.

Unlike most face masks I have used, this mask was very sticky and not watery. I didn't have to worry about it dripping. The self adhesive layer was perfectly... adhesive and did not hurt when I removed it.

XILIZILM Hydra Suctions Face Mask review

XILIZILM Hydra Suctions Face Mask review
Xiuzilm product and packaging

Lately, the weather has been cold and dry... making my skin dry and flaky (gross), I started noticing the appearance of blackheads and my T-Zone is oily and dry... I have applied a lot of masks and did practically everything to keep my skin hydrated... but nothing seems to stop my blackheads from forming... out of frustration, I decided to go to eBay and find a mask... I typed in Blackhead mask and the search results lead me to this product.

I originally ordered Pilaten Hydra Suctions Face Mask... but the seller sent me a wrong one... I checked this mask's content and it was similar to the Pilaten mask... so I decided to give this product a try (you can see how desperate I am about getting rid of my blackheads and flaking oily skin).

Features:
  • Removes blackheads
  • acne blemishes
  • gets rid of oil
  • helps minimize the appearance of large pores
  • relieves skin from radiation damage (which is formed as a result of looking at our phone/computer screens or tv for long hours)

Amount: 60 g
Shelf life: 3 years
Made in China

Product ingredients:
water, polyvinyl alcohol the daily dye, glycerol, propylene glycol, the diazonium imidazolidinyl urea, iodopropynyl butyl carbamate, glycol, flavor (daily).

How often should this mask be used:

  • Mild blackheads: once a week
  • Moderate blackhead: twice weekly
  • Severe blackheads: 2-3 times a week

sorry to gross you out >.< this is how it looked on my nose
Instruction:
  1. place a towel drenched with warm - hot water and place it over the skin (which has large pores/blackheads) for 3-4 minutes
  2. dry skin
  3. apply mask and wait for 10-15 minutes or until mask is complete dry
  4. peel mask off and apply toner and essence/serum

XILIZILM Hydra Suctions Face Mask review
this is how the mask looks like after I remove it from my skin
impressions:
  • no scent
  • mask is very watery
  • mask is very thin
  • hard to remove from skin
  • your pores take time to close after using this mask
Personal Experience:
When I was using this mask, I discovered that it was very watery, I found it extremely difficult to apply the mask evenly on my skin... and because of the thinness of the mask... I found it immensely difficult to remove the mask.

Your pores will appear larger than they did before you used this mask (yes it scared me too) after you remove and clean the mask BUT... give them a few hours... and your pores will shrink.. and you will see that your pores are smaller and your blackheads are less pigmented. I started seeing results after using it twice.

Pros:
  • no scent
  • easy to use
  • works

Cons:
  • makes skin break out
  • hard to remove
  • hard to apply
  • effects are not immediate
  • drys skin... need a good serum and moisturizer after!!

score: 7.5/10
