Hey beautiful sunshines!!

Lately my eyes have been getting red, tired, dry... and... in other words, they were feeling extremely uncomfortable.

I guess you can't read what it says so let me type it out:

Indications/Efficacy:
Relives eyestrain, conjunctival congestion, discomfort due to use of hard contact lenses, minor eye irritation, remove redness of eye, refresh & soothe tired & sore eyes, eye itching,

Directions:
Instill 2 to 3 drops 4 to 5 times per day

Impressions
  • Ouch! This stuff stings!!!!!
  • Very refreshing
  • Tastes sweet(?)
  • Cool minty sensation
  • Very effective
  • Container was bulky but didn't help me instill these drops easily.

When they claim that it will be refreshing, I didn't expect the drops to be "this refreshing". It literally feels like you are putting mint drops into your eyes!! The sting was shocking at first (you will sort of eventually get used to it). There was a refreshing sensation (just like how it feels after you indulge on a mint candy cane).

Some drops sled down my face and into my mouth and they sort of tasted slightly sweet... which was weird... since most drops are salty tasting.

I found the container quite difficult to dispense the drops into my eyes, I always end up dropping them onto my face. (such as waste of product).

That being said though, what surprised me the most is the effectiveness of these drops. After putting 2 drops into each eye, I looked in the mirror and all the redness was gone! My eyes were no longer tired and no longer itchy. The relieve of tireness doesn't last too long... but my eyes did temporarily feel refreshed.

Verdict:
I loved these drops, because they work, however, I am definitely NOT a fan of the stinging sensation... I don't know whether it will affect my eyes in the long run.

Rohto C3 Moist review

Rohto C3 Moist review
Rohto eye drops

So, it has been quite a while since I have sritten anything other than food.. So let me start off with an eye moist product that I have been using for about a month.

So... What is this?
These are "eye drops" for your contact lenses, they aren't technically directly for your eyes but your contact lenses.

Usually when you are working long hours or you have just worn your contact lenses for too long, they will start to dry, and suck up the remaining moisture in your eyes, thus, making your eyes dry. So in order to prevent that Rohto created contact lenses drops to moisten your contact lenses and once your contact lenses are fully moisten, they will moisten your eyes!

Where to buy this:
at Watson's and Mannings

Since this was transparent, it is quite tough to see the print in the picture. This is what it says:

Active Ingredients:
  • Sodium Chondroitin Sulfate:0.5%
  • Potassium Chloride 0.08%
  • Sodium Chloride 0.44%
  • Hydroxypropyl Methyl Cellulose 0.4%
  • Glucose 0.096%

  • *Please read instructions before you use
  • *Prevent direct sunlight exposure, remember to keep cap on when storing, store in a cool place
  • Manufactured by Rohto- Mentholatum (Vietnam) Co. Ltd

Impressions:
  • A tiny stinging sensation
  • Needs 3-4 drops to work
  • does not have the "refreshing" effect it claims it has
  • Towards using half the amount of product, it gets difficult to squeeze the drops out

They claim you must discard the product after 30 days... To prevent possible eye infection due to bacteria/protein build up.

I am going to throw this out (see first picture) and there is still quite a lot of product remaining, and it is kind of a good thing... it is difficult to squeeze out the remaining drops.

Tears Naturale Free artificial tear by Alcon reviews

I cannot understand... I have practically lived in North America for quite a while now... but after returning from a trip to Asia for a few months, I discovered North American climate is making my eyes terribly dry. My eyes are dry to the point if I didn't blink for a while my vision would go blurry. Isn't that sad? And for cosmetic reasons, I do not think having red eyes is considered attractive in any way.

I have never been a fan of putting in eye drops as I have sensitive SENSITIVE eyes (I hope the double word can describe how severely sensitive my eyes are), But I honestly have no choice other than using eye drops.

I wanted drops which were preservative free so I can "cure" the dryness without having to worry about unnecessary chemicals and stuff remaining in my eyes. Voila! Tears Naturale Free is the answer!

Tears Naturale Free contains little vials which must be used within 24 hours after opening as they will go bad and become contaminated (since there are no preservatives).

I do feel a tiny "discomfort" when I use them however they have definitely cured my eyes' dryness. Usually I need about 2 drops per eye, good thing the vials contain enough (more than enough) for me to use (I usually have left overs, but better more than not enough right?)

I highly recommend Tears Naturale Free to anyone who has dry eyes as it does cure your eyes without leaving any preservatives in your eyes. They are a little pricey compared to the other eye drops with preservatives but I think it is definitely worth it.

These can be found at most drug stores near you.
